Changes have been introduced to the Rifle Team Leagues run bu the MSBRA, starting from the Winter 2004/5 Season.
Prone Rifle League
To comply with a number of requests from clubs, and following consultation with Affiliated Clubs, discussion within the Communications Committee and at the MSBRA Annual General Meeting, the following changes have been made to the Middlesex Short Range Prone Rifle Leagues.

Teams
Starting with the Winter League 2004/5, teams will comprise FOUR shooters instead of five. There will be no change to the number of teams in each division of the league.

Tip
Check your postal rates! One less card may well mean that your envelopes weigh less than 100g, and so can be sent for a lower postal rate!
Use of reserves
Clubs will be able to use a reserve with a higher average than the shooter being substituted, subject to NSRA rule 7.9.7, which is reproduced below.

NSRA Rule 7.9.7
"A reserve, i.e. an unregistered shooter, may be included in any team. Where the current average of the reserve exceeds the registered average of the shooter being substituted, the score of the reserve shall be reduced by the difference, rounded to the nearest whole number above, between his current average and the substituted shooters registered average. However, this rule does not apply in division 1 of a league, where a reserve with any current average may be used without penalty. Current average shall be interpreted as the average of a shooters last three recorded scores at the time he first shoots as a substitute in the competition."
Please note that the penalty points are taken from the total team score and not the reserve shooters score, as this could affect any future average calculations for the reserve shooter.

Example
Team member A has a registered average of 95.2. He is replaced by shooter B as a reserve who has a current average of 98.7. Shooter B shoots a gun score of 99. The difference between shooter A's registered average and shooter B's current average is 98.7 95.2 = 3.5, which is rounded up to the nearest whole number, so the difference is 4. Shooter B's gun score of 99 is therefore reduced by 4, to give a score of 95 in the league results.

Please note that no individual shooter is allowed to shoot in more than 1 team in the league.

AEI Cup
Starting in 2005, the AEI Cup will only be shot concurrently with the Short Range Summer League. There will be no provision for it being shot as a separate competition.
